So what is a Jam Session?

A jam session is a fun, low-key opportunity for musicians to play together. Unlike a concert or a rehearsal, jam sessions tend to be much less planned and are usually intended for musicians to interact with each other in an informal setting.

Similar to the benefits sketching can bring to a drawing enthusiast, a jam session can be very valuable as an exercise to try some of the musical skills that our students are learning in the classroom in a more hands-on setting.

(Participation must be approved by instructor)

Songs:

"Shivers" by Ed Sheeran

"Cold Heart" by Elton John and Dua Lipa

"Stay" by the Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber

Meet and play with other musicians your age

There are few things more powerful and motivating for a music student than the feeling of making music with other instrumentalists. At The Hit, we believe all of our students should have access to this type of experience guided by one of our musical directors. Join us on Saturday, January 30th for a one-hour Jam Session. Students will be divided by age and skill and assigned 3 songs so they can have some common material to get the jam session started. (Songs will be communicated to our instructors prior to the session and to the students that sign up for each jam)
